Privacy policy
The short version
- This policy covers our website, twentyfive.life. The Twentyfive app has its own privacy policy.
- We only measure how people use the site if you say yes to analytics cookies. Say no and nothing goes to Google.
- We don’t sell your information and we don’t use it to target ads.
- Questions? privacy@twentyfive.life
Who we are
Twentyfive is run by Quarter Century Limited (“we”, “us”), a company registered in England and Wales, company number 16652095, registered office 182 Ferndale Road, London SW9 8AL. We’ve applied to register with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) and will add our registration number here as soon as it’s issued.
That makes us the “data controller”. It just means we decide how your information is used, and we’re responsible for looking after it.
What this policy covers
This policy is about what happens when you visit twentyfive.life. It doesn’t cover the app. When you create an account, the app privacy policy explains what we collect, and you’ll find it at sign-up and in settings.
What we collect, and why
| What | Why we use it | Our legal reason | How long we keep it |
|---|---|---|---|
| Your cookie choice (Allow all, Deny, or what you pick in Customise) | To remember what you picked, so we don’t ask every visit | Strictly necessary for the banner to work, so no consent needed | On your device until you clear it, or 12 months, then we ask again |
| How you use the site, if you allow analytics: pages and sections you view, how far you scroll, which buttons you tap, which hero video plays, your device and browser, how you found us, and roughly where you are (city level, never your address) | To see what’s working and what isn’t, so we can make the site better | Your consent | 14 months in Google Analytics, then it’s deleted automatically |
| Technical logs: your IP address, browser and the pages requested | To keep the site running and secure, and to spot misuse | Legitimate interests (keeping the site safe and working) | Up to 30 days |
| Messages to privacy@twentyfive.life: your email address and whatever you tell us | To reply and sort out your request | Legitimate interests (answering you) | Until it’s sorted, plus 12 months |
The site doesn’t have sign-up forms, so we don’t collect your name, phone number or email address on it. The sign-up button takes you to the app or the app store, and anything you enter there is covered by the app privacy policy.
Cookies
We use one small cookie to remember your cookie choice. That’s the only one that’s always on.
Analytics cookies only switch on if you tap “Allow all”, or turn analytics on in “Customise”. Until you do, we don’t load Google Analytics at all, so nothing is sent to Google. “Deny” and “Allow all” are equally easy to tap, and you can change your mind any time using “Cookie settings” in the footer.
The full list is in our cookie policy.
Who we share it with
- Vercel, who host the site and keep the technical logs.
- Google, for Google Analytics, only if you allow analytics cookies. We’ve switched off Google’s advertising features, so your visit isn’t used to target ads.
- Our email provider, who hosts the privacy@twentyfive.life inbox.
They do these jobs for us, under contracts that only let them use your information for that. We never sell it. We’ll only share it beyond this if the law says we have to.
Sending information abroad
Vercel and Google are US companies, so some of your information may be processed outside the UK. When that happens, we make sure a proper safeguard is in place, such as the UK-US data bridge or the ICO’s standard contract terms.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you can:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- ask us to correct it
- ask us to delete it
- ask us to limit how we use it
- object to how we use it
- ask us to send it to you or another service, where that applies
- take back your consent at any time, using “Cookie settings”. That doesn’t affect anything we did before you changed your mind.
Email privacy@twentyfive.life and we’ll reply within one month. It’s free. One thing to know: analytics data isn’t linked to your name or email, so we may not be able to pick out your visits.
If you’re not happy
Email privacy@twentyfive.life first and we’ll do our best to put it right. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk/make-a-complaint or on 0303 123 1113.
Age
Twentyfive is for adults aged 18 and over. This site isn’t aimed at children and we don’t knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If we make a meaningful change, we’ll update the date at the top and, where the law needs it, ask for your choice again.
